Using various foundations such as canvas, wood, paper, masonite and "anything that holds still, " R. "Allan" Lister expresses his love for painting. Although he sometimes uses oil, watercolor and pencil, acrylic is his favorite. His subjects include "scapes" of all kinds: landscapes, cityscapes and a series he calls "firescapes" that feature various scenes of firefighters in action. He also paints still life, collage, abstract and does assemblage.
Allan's art experience expanded when he became a professional producing clown and visual entertainer for over thirty years. He created over forty shows for all ages. All of these shows needed items to help illustrate the message being conveyed. This lead to many hand built and hand decorated comedy props, staging, and magic that have now become one-of-a-kind original pieces of art. They are now available as distinctive items of art for the preceptive collector of the unique, or as exceptional pieces for your decor. Please come in and take the tour.
